In April 2002, OQO (pronounced メoh-q-ohモ) introduced the worldユs first ultra-personal computer, a full-function computer that fits comfortably in your hand and weighs less than nine ounces. The OQO device is powered by a Crusoe TM5800 processor and runs Microsoftィ Windowsィ XP Professional.
The wireless and versatile handheld computer measures just 4.1 x 2.9 x 0.9 [inches] and has a 4-inch high resolution VGA color touchscreen LCD. The OQO ultra-personal computer includes a 10GB hard drive, 256MB RAM, OQO-link connectors (for notebook and desktop docking), 1394 FireWire, USB, audio and microphone ports, and built-in 802.11b and Bluetooth wireless networking. The OQO-link connectors allow the unit to connect to a monitor and keyboard for conventional desktop PC use or a portable display cradle for mobile use.
Utilizing an advanced lithium polymer battery, the ultra-personal computer was designed to maximize battery life for the complete range of PC applications. The handheld can run up to 8 hours for office and email applications and lasts an amazing 168+ hours of standby time. Whether standing, walking, or sitting down, the ultra-personal computer is easy to use and lightweight to carry around.
